Summer just got better! Summer Science Camps at the Virginia Air & Space Center

Summer just got better! The Virginia Air & Space Center offers a wide variety of stellar summer camps for little explorers of all ages. From kindergarten to 8th grade, these educational summer camps are packed full of fun and make learning exciting. Regular camp-goers, 10 year old Olivia Basco and AJ Sellers, love everything about the camps, including the snacks, programs, and the new friends they meet each year.  They even love the teachers!  “I like Mr. Parrish, he makes things really fun and interesting, and isn’t strict like a school teacher,” Olivia stated.
Olivia and AJ have both attended the Robotics and Claymation camps, which are just a few of the many themes the program has to offer.  AJ enjoys sharing everything he learned in the Robotics camp, he even shared one of his favorite moments “in the Robotics camp, we got to build Lego mind-storms, which was really fun.”  Other summer camp themes include space exploration, detective mysteries, the disgusting world of Grossology, the five senses, and the exhilarating world of amusement park thrill rides, roller coasters.
The Virginia Air & Space Center’s Summer Science Camps allow children to learn about the sciences in a fun and exciting atmosphere. Each camp offers a different educational perspective depending on the theme of the program. Some campers get to experience a special surprise at the end of camp, including a visit to the Hampton Carousel.  A ride on the Historic Hampton Carousel continues to be a favorite experience among many of the campers as they explore the restored 1920’s merry-go-round on Downtown Hampton’s beautiful waterfront.  Throughout the camp, children can investigate the wonders of science, meet new friends and gain knowledge while having the time of their lives!  Let the discovery begin this summer as you enroll your little explorer(s) in a summer science camp, they’ll be begging to come back year after year!
