Downtown Hampton comes to life with Saturday Summer Street Fest, featuring the Virginia Reggae Awards, Saturday, May 14, 2011, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. The Virginia Reggae Awards recognizes those who work tirelessly to keep the Virginia reggae music scene vibrant. The V.R.A is a people’s choice award based on public voting that ends May 13, 2011. The awards show will feature some of the best local reggae entertainment including Nature’s Child, United Souls and more! Winners of the V.R.A. will be announced during the event.
